Vegan Chocolate Swiss Roll (The Tasty K) is a wonderful version of a childhood favorite. Like all of Kirsten’s recipes, this one is packed with nourishing ingredients. The chocolate dough is made with almond and oat flour, sweetened with dates. It’s wrapped around a coconut cream whip and melted chocolate, topped with crushed almonds and dessicated coconut. Store this in the freezer, if there’s any left!

Kirsten grew up on a standard western diet in Germany, with a huge love of dairy product and sugary food. She researched how plant based foods nourish the body, and now shares the foods that have kept her in good health ever since. Treat yourself to a copy of her eBook Healthy Sweets & Treats, which contains several favorite recipes from the blog alongside some new ones. There are color photos for each of the 35 recipes, easy instructions and international measurements.

Recipe Notes

Don’t get scared of using different flours. Conventional wheat flour is often covered in chemicals, and not suitable for people on gluten free diets. Go to town and try a few other flours like the almond and oat flours, used in this recipe. Good brands are Bob’s Red Mill (US) and Dove’s Farm (UK).
